Amazing Racers go to Stockholm, showering love and kisses upon one another

Leaving Groningen last night, the five teams remaining in season 15 of The Amazing Race were heading to Stockholm. First to leave was Dan and Sam the gay brothers who came out to their families on national television. The brothers wasted no time in starting up their bitching back and forth, the mood for tonight’s episode had been set early! So the teams were to head to the Tivoli Grona Lund amusement park where they would encounter their first roadblock.

Managing to get to Stockholm would be fun as there was only enough seats on the flight which left in the morning for 3 of the teams. Not to mention the ticket counters were all closed by the time the racers made it to the airport. So the three teams on the first flight were Dan and Sam, Meghan and Cheyne, and finally Flight Time and Big Easy. The remaining teams were forced to take the flight leaving 3 hours later.

It was Flight Time’s birthday tomorrow, so they wanted to make a quick stop at the red light district! The guys just figured they would tell everyone they were going there to use the internet and make flight arrangements LOL. Smooth…
Once the teams all made it to Sweden they had to take a train into Stockholm. Purchasing tickets turned out to be a little difficult for the teams, Flight Time and Big Easy couldn’t figure the ticket machines out in time to catch their train. Once the final two teams arrived, Matt and Gary ran into the same problem 3 hours later. Sam and Dan made some comments about the globetrotters recognizing their strong presence and thankful they missed the first train. Brian and Ericka were just thankful someone was behind them.

The train trip takes the teams into Stockholm where they catch a ferry to the amusement park. There the teams located the next clue at a ride called the, ‘Fritt Fall.’ One team member was required to take the ride and look for a hint as to the location of their next clue while they were going up the ride. Sam and Cheyne both take the ride up together and search for the clue as a team. They find the clue with relative ease and race to the next clue. This next clue required a team member to play good ‘ol circus ring toss. When a team would get their ring over a cone containing a Travelocity gnome under it, they would receive their next clue which was pasted to the bottom of the gnome.

The two leading teams were constantly pushing to keep ahead of those who had the misfortune of missing the early flight, the train, or both. Dan made more then one reference to the globetrotters being the luckiest team in Amazing Race history, so why not give em reason to call them that!

- BOOM! (photo:cbs)
Moving from the amusement park, teams were required to complete one of two detours. The first was Nobel Dynamite which required teams to fill up sandbags making a wall to protect their gnome when they blew up a pile of dirt which would uncover their next clue in an ammo case. The second choice was called Viking Alphabet and required teams to decode a viking statue’s symbols in order to retrieve their clue. All teams chose to blow shit up. En route to the detour, Flight Time and Big Easy were feeling good as they had been plowing through the rest of this leg with ease. They were contemplating what Meghan and Cheyne would say when they caught up with them. Which they did in the parking area for Nobel Dynamite!

Flight time and Big Easy did catch up at the dynamite detour, but still couldn’t pass anyone up just yet. The three teams in front all finished up and headed out while the final two teams were just arriving to the Nobel Dynamite detour. Gary and Matt catch Ericka and Brian here but are still behind the power curve and leave this detour in last place. Turns out though, this is not going to be such a problem because the most difficult roadblock in Amazing Race was awaiting teams at Bogs Gard Farm!
This was the same farm, same roadblock, same everything that Lena in season 6 spent over 8 hours on before being eliminated from the race. One player was required to roll out bales of hay looking for the clue inside the bale. There were over 120 bales of hay with only 7 clues.

Sam took on the challenge for his team and was immediately thankful for his loving brother who would not shut the heck up explaining to him how to do things and more importantly hurry up! Meghan took the lead for her team when Cheyne just stood there not knowing how to say I don’t want to piss you off any more then I already have today. Flight Time and Big Easy show up and Flight Time goes for it. Dan and Meghan had been struggling for a good while before Big Easy starts digging through the hay.
Of course the other two teams arrive as well before one clue has been found! Meghan is on the verge of tears after 2 hours of no luck when Big Easy cemented his luckstar status by finding the first clue so Flight Time could have his birthday present on The Amazing Race winning this leg of the race and the accompanying Travelocity trip.
Meghan finally finds her clue shortly after Big Easy but hides it in her pocket. She adds a few more tears to her face and cries to Cheyne that she cannot do it anymore almost cracking her skull open as she falls down running up to him. When he hugs her she busts out the clue. She got em.

3rd was Brian and Ericka! Poor Sam is about ready to choke his brother when Dan finally shuts up after figuring out that it might not be helping Sam’s mental state of mind. Finally Sam finds their clue leaving Gary and Matt as the last team still hunting for their clue. Gary was a trooper though and kept at it, non stop, until he found their clue! Upon racing to the pit stop knowing only a miracle would save them in the race Phil gave them the news. This was not an elimination leg and they would be required at some point in the race to complete a speed bump that the rest of the teams would not have to worry about.
